Guiding the Journey from Classroom to Career

I designed and built Modern Campus Career Pathways to help institutions guide students from the classroom to meaningful careers. The solution integrates real-time job market data—including salary insights and growth opportunities—so students can make informed decisions about their academic and career goals. By tightly connecting learning to real-world outcomes, it strengthens student engagement, improves retention, and supports long-term success.

The challenge

Students often struggle to see a clear path from their education to a viable career, while institutions face pressure to improve outcomes with limited resources. How do we give every learner access to real-time labor market data, personalized career insights, and clear program recommendations—so they can confidently plan their trajectory from classroom to career?

Focusing on the user

I focused on three key users: the undecided prospect looking for direction, the goal-oriented learner researching specific careers, and the institution trying to increase engagement and retention. Career Pathways delivers this through:

Real-Time Labor Market Data – connecting academic programs to current employment opportunities, salary ranges, and job trends

Career and Program Explorer – a powerful search tool that shows jobs, salaries, and the exact programs an institution offers

Persona Guides – customizable personas and objectives that help less-directed students quickly find relevant paths

The result is a seamless experience that integrates with existing academic catalog pages and other Modern Campus solutions.

Big Idea, Real Impact.

Giving students the data and clarity they need to make the best decisions for their future
